Hello all!
Yesterday I had my second flight lesson on this scholarship. It took us a few tries to get into the air after the plane we scheduled for didn’t turn over, but once we were up in the air, we practiced landing patterns. Despite my bit of trouble with altitude control and flaring, my CFI thinks I am very close to being able to land on my own!

Also yesterday was Memorial Day. I hope everyone had as meaningful a day as I had playing for Taps Across America. Organized by the local DAR chapter, the event was small but solemn as my brother and I played from behind the flag poles.
