I recently graduated from Kenesaw Public Schools in Kenesaw, Nebraska. I have played the piano for 10 years. I plan to attend University of Nebraska in Kearney to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics with a minor in music. I’m looking forward to start working on my private pilot’s license this month.
I’ve been connected with both flight and music since a very young age. At the age of six, I experienced my first airplane ride with my great uncle, who has his private pilot’s license. I have also played the piano since I was seven years old and love to practice and perform for members of my community and church.
I plan to continue to play at the monthly Nebraska Antique Airplane Association fly-ins in Hastings, Nebraska. My academic interests are to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics with a minor in music. I want to obtain my Private Pilot’s License prior to college and have already started my ground school.
I am happy to know that with every flight and piano lesson, every day, through all the years, I will have the opportunity to continue learning to become a better pilot and musician. This scholarship will help me in reaching my first step toward earning my Private Pilot’s License.
